Yesterday I met up with Erika in Corey in Northport to photograph their engagement photos. Erika and Corey are both part of the Great Lakes Maritime Academy so we thought an aquatic theme would be appropriate for them. These two will be getting married next weekend so be sure to check to see their wedding photos!

Engagement sessions are officially over for 2011 so it’s time to vote on your favorite session of the year! Below I have selected two photographs from each engagement session that I personally LOVE! It was hard enough for me to choose the best two photographs from each engagement so I am leaving it up to you, your friends and family to vote for the set photographs you like the most. After a much needed vacation to California and Mexico (photos to come), I was excited to get back to photograph Justin & Katie engagement photos on her families farm in East Jordan. These two have such a cute little family and I’m looking forward to seeing them next May!

Frankfort, MI Engagement // Matt & Stephanie

It was cold and windy for Matt & Stephanie’s engagement session along the shoreline of Lake Michigan in Frankfort, but these two have come accustom to this kind of weather. Matt and Stephanie are both very active with water sports, specifically kite boarding, and the weather conditions for the engagement session is something they see often. Huge white caps were smashing against the pier, throwing water everywhere, and I have them take a stroll down the pier, risking their lives for a photo, they were down for it! Even their retriever Lili loved it!

These two were so much fun to hang out with, we even stopped at the Cabbage Shed in Elberta for a bite to eat. Be sure to check out Matt’s M22 Store downtown Traverse City or check him out online. Also if you’re interested in learing how to Kite Board, get in touch with these two.

East Lansing, MI Engagement // Stephen & Courtney

I packed up the gear headed down to East Lansing to photography Stephen & Courtney’s engagement session on the Campus of Michigan State University. It was a lot of fun just walking around the campus and getting to know each other. I had many flashbacks of what my college life was like. So glad I’m not there anymore…

Traverse City, MI Engagement // Daniel & Caroline

These two are pretty awesome for many reasons, 1.) they are a fun couple 2.) they both are involved with creative arts and 3.) they aren’t afraid to show their love for each other! It was a blast to hanging out with Daniel & Caroline and they were troopers in the cold weather!

A proposal was in the works when I first met with Chris & Courtney a few months back. For their engagement session in Traverse City, they were officially engaged! It was a great seeing theses two again and their wedding next August is going to ROCK!

Bill & Kristen are getting married this weekend! These two are from Alabama so yesterday was the only time we had to photograph their engagement session. I’m looking forward to seeing these two again on Saturday!

Houghton Lake, MI Engagement // Robert & Lyndsy

Yesterday I was in Houghton Lake to photograph Robert and Lyndsy’s engagement photos. I bumped this session up on the ole’ editing list because these two love birds are getting married this weekend! These two live in Ohio and the week of the wedding was the only day we could arrange a session. I’m looking forward to spending the day with these two!

Nate & Shawna are another lovely couple from Chicago that made their way to Traverse City from their engagement session. It was a great night with a beautiful couple, amazing light and Shawna rocked those high heels in the orchards, corn and hay fields. Oh the things I put my clients through. Can’t wait to see these two again next June!
