Photos from Joe & Erin’s Winter Engagement Session in Midland, MI

Do you ever wake up in the morning and find yourself thinking of ways to just stay in bed? Well I have been doing that quite often this winter, mainly because it has been in the single digits for the last 2 months here in Michigan. During Joe and Erin’s engagement session in Midland, I kept trying to tell myself that it was too cold outside to take photos and they weren’t going to turn out as well as they could because Joe and Erin were going to have rosy cheeks, purple lips and wind blown hair. The list of excuses went on and on. Finally the little Brett Marshall voice in the back of my head said, “take some chances, fish or cut bait Dan!” And I’m glad I did. These two were amazing, they didn’t let the cold weather bother them at all. Erin actually used the cold weather to her advantage by wrapping her arms around Joe to stay warmer. Nothing by smiles and laughs from these two. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in July. Luckily for us, there will be no snow.
