Rustic Cabin Engagement | Sara + Jeff

“I’d never met anyone before who was such a good person; someone that I knew appreciated me for me. He was one of the most caring people I knew, and one of the few who made me laugh. I was hooked from the get go.”

“I knew early on I had found my better half, as I was always happiest with her and missing her when we weren’t together.”

Sara & Jeff’s story begins at LA Fitness. It was November, and Sara had just taken a job at LA Fitness to open the gym each morning at 5:00 am. Jeff was soon to be starting a rotation in December that would require him to wake up at 4:30 each morning. So, in preparation for his new schedule, he decided to start going to the gym at 5:00 to get used to being up early. And it just so happened that Sara’s first day of work was also Jeff’s first time going in early. That was a Monday, and by Sunday he had worked up the courage to ask her out.

“Sara always told me she hated big flashy proposals, and wanted it to be spontaneous and unexpected.” And unexpected it was! Sara & Jeff had planned a vacation to Nashville the day after their one year anniversary. So- unexpectedly- on the day of our anniversary at 10:00 am when Sara got home during her two hour break between jobs, Jeff had anniversary gifts waiting for her. One of the gifts was a scrapbook that went page by page through major events and happy times each month of the first year they were together. When she came to the November page, it said “Will you marry me?”. While Sara was paging through the scrapbook, Jeff had snuck down on one knee to propose. And she said yes!

Sara & Jeff’s relationship is something truly special and undeniably beautiful. It simply makes sense. Whether revisiting one their favorite dinner spots or trying out a new restaurant, Sara & Jeff just love to get out of the house and enjoy each other’s company. Sara & Jeff, I am so very happy for you two and they journey that you are on together. Congratulations!
