The combination of technical mastery and artistic expression propelled my interest in the photography field until I finally merging my interest with documentary photography. Specifically, my photographic interest lie in capturing the essence of a moment through the human expressions, highlighting an emotional state of an individual. In addition to capturing personal expression, I have an interest in using my camera to accentuate the beauty of aging objects. Being able to find these objects and photograph its detail, takes me back to the beauty it once had that attracted so many people to it. My work plays a huge role in finding situations and photographing them in such a way that brings people to raise the question, “Hmm, I never thought of it like that.” I believe that there is beauty in everything; it’s just a matter of capturing it at the right time and the right light.
