Dustin & Jenny had a beautiful wedding in the Grand Rapids area this past weekend. So it was great to see these two again and meet their friends and families. May God bless your marriage Dustin and Jenny!

If you didn’t notice, I’m changing things up on the blog a little bit with a new title. As well as no more captions, bylines, or watermarks! Just straight up photography to tell the story of day.

The response for the “The Best of Weddings 2009″ Competition was incredible with over 1,000 total votes. So I thought it would only be right to have the same competition with engagements, and senior photos (next week) as well. Below I have selected two photographs from each engagement session that I personally LOVE! It was hard enough for me to choose the best two photographs from each engagement so I am leaving it up to you, your friends and family to vote for the set photographs you like the most. The polls will open today and will remain open until 11:59PM Friday February 12th so be sure to cast your vote within that time frame. The winner of the competition will receive a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant of their choice. It might make for a great Valentine’s Day dinner… On your mark, get set……….VOTE!

WOW! Time and time again, I look back and I can only think how incredible the 2009 wedding season was. It was filled with awesome people, good times, great food and everlasting love. Liz and I are so fortunate to be in a occupation where we get to see love in its beginning stages meet the people we did this past wedding season. In fact, we feel so blessed that we want to give back to one lucky couple. Below I have selected two photographs from each wedding that I personally LOVE! It was hard enough for me to choose the best two photographs from each wedding so I am leaving it up to you, friends and family to vote for the set photographs you like the most. Grand Rapids, MI Engagement and Family Photos – Josh, Rikka & Rileigh

After having to reschedule a couple of times due to the “lovely” Michigan weather, my friend Luis and I finally made it down to Grand Rapids to photograph a family/engagement session with Josh, Rikka and Rileigh. What a great family this was to photograph. We had a blast roaming around downtown, finding cool buildings and backgrounds to photograph in front of, and we even got to enjoy a little bit of Art Prize. Rileigh always kept us smiling and laughing either with her jokes or her creative dance moves and poses. It’s going to be a blast photographing their wedding on the blue bridge in May of 2010!

David and Lisa were married over Memorial weekend in Grand Rapids with an awesome reception that followed at Camp Rogers in Rockford. David and Lisa were once again naturals in front of the camera (click here to see our first shoot). These two have a very passionate love towards one another and that always makes for great photographs. Not only were Liz and I the photographers at the wedding, we were also the limo drivers. David and Lisa rode in the back seat of a Ford F-150 with a “Just Married” sign on the back. It was a wonderful time and now I can add one more job to my resume, Limo Driver. Thank you David and Lisa for a great time, Liz and I sure enjoyed spending the day with you!
