It’s my pleasure to introduce you to… Jetty Rae

You have seen links to her website in my posts for quite sometime now and today I finally have the privilege of introducing you to her. Everyone I would like you to meet Jetty Rae. Jetty is one of the most talented indie artist I have ever heard. Ever since that cold winter day when Jason, Liz and I drove up Charleviox to hang out with her at the coffee shop where she worked, she has been on my “No Diggity” playlist, which normally consist of bands like Disturbed, Rise Against and Slipknot to name a few. If you are familiar with these bands, you will notice that an artist like Jetty Rae doesn’t fit in with my heavy rock handbagger genre, yet her vocals and her musical talent wooed me enough to change my ways and add a female folk acoustic to the playlist of heavy rock. So that means that Liz and Jetty are the only two female artist that I will be “caught” listening to.

Right now, Jetty Rae is in the final stages of completing her second album and will be holding a CD release party at Shorts Brewery in Bellaire MI on May 30th. Everyone should make their way there to enjoy a wonderful show. Check out Jetty’s website to listen to a few of her hit songs. A couple that I would recommend would be Danielley’s Song and Sunshine.
