Dave Weatherwax has an old pair of clubs he got from Sarah’s dad. About 4 weeks ago we decided to see how our golf game was. After slicing and shanking every ball when practicing on the driving range, we decided that we were ready for the $5 9-hole course. Several weeks later and many days of playing/practicing on the 9-hole course, Dave and I haven’t gotten much better. I usually get about an 8-11 on the 1st hole because at least 2 balls end up over the fence and in the road, or in a patch of trees which takes about 5 stokes to get out of and when I get close to the green I end up using the putter when I am still in the fairway because I haven’t figured out yet how to use the pitching wedge. This time Erik Holladay joined us and our performance was not any better. I’m still scoring in the 50′s on a par 33 course.
