The days are counting down for Jason and Brittni’s destination wedding in Mexico. The bags are packed with cut off tees, swim trunks and thong sandals. There was just one thing left to do before we head out to enjoy the marriage of these two love birds….. BACHELOR PARTY! NO GIRLS ALLOWED!
The night started off with Jason saddling up to a dang ole’ buckn’ bull with the goal of reaching that 8 second mark. After getting whipped around and exerting his thigh muscles to the point or gaseous excretion, he was able to beat that 8 second mark both times he rode. Laser tag was the next “manly” thing for us to do. We suited up and were given a lecture on the rules of the game. “No running, no climbing, no jumping from the second floor, no tackling, no body slamming, no poking each other in the eye, no hitting each other in the back of the head with beer bottles in my beloved course.” Basically, NO FUN! Come on, you have to know that if you put 14 guys in a room with laser guns, there is going to be some sort of reenactment going through our minds from a video game or a movie or something. I understand safety, but make us sign waivers saying that if we hurt ourselves by spear tackling another guy through a wall, we wont sue them. Now the real fun begins, bowling! Ok maybe not as much fun as laser tag, but this is when everyone started to kick back a few brewskis and loosen up a tad bit. After bowling we went to a Traverse City North Stars hockey game. These few hours consisted of us debating whether or not the Wild Cherry Mascot was a guy or girl, getting riled up when the players slammed each other against the boards and trying to figure out how Krantz got on upper deck where the media gather to broadcast the game. The game actually went into overtime but we didn’t stick around because be had something better in mind… LAN party. A LAN party is when a bunch of nerds like us hook our computers up to a network and play games like Urban Terror and WarCraft. These parties have kind of been something Jason and I have been putting on since high school, and every time we host them now we say that it is going to be our last one, which never seems to be the case, but it’s a way to get more people to come out and play. So we ate chilli, drank beer, played computer games till people started to drop out one by one and found a place on the floor to sleep.
Congrats Jason on finding the one to spend the rest of your life with, but don’t think this means that you can get rid of me!! There will always be danstewartphotography.com!
