When I was in college, one of the things that interested me the most was being able to light a scene. I love the effect that it can give and how it can dramatically change the look of a photo. Last week when I was hanging out with Ryan and his family to photograph his senior portraits in Maple City, I was able to set up my lights again. Ryan plays soccer for the Glen Lake Lakers and plays hockey for the Traverse City Northwest Warriors. With a guy this active and serious about sports, I couldn’t really see any other way to take his senior portraits than to light them. When school wraps up in Spring, Ryan plans on attending Lawrence University in Southfield to study engineering, not a bad way to start a college career if I do say so myself. Good luck this year with school and sports and best of luck to you in the future!
