This session was so much fun because Lauren and Jon are such an amazing couple. When the session was over Lauren said to me, “My top 3 moments of the night were 1.) When you (Dan) and Jon held hands, 2.) thinking you (Dan) were going to show Jon how to pose by posing with me and 3.) trying not to get my dress wet. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I will be with them during their wedding next month.

If so, you are the man for us!” I pulled this line from the the first email I had received from Max and Michelle. From that point on, I knew that my time with them was going to ROCK! I can’t wait to see this two again in June.

Amanda and Jeff are what you would call awesome people. In the short amount of time I got to know them during their engagement session in Traverse City, they left me eager to photograph their down state wedding in November. They love to laugh with each other, mess around and have a good time. I’m looking forward to seeing these two again in a short seven months.

Over the weekend Elena and Andrew came up to Traverse City to get their engagement photos taken. When we scheduled the session a few months ago, I was hesitate of what the weather was going to be like in mid March. To our surprise, it was sunny and 80 degrees. I couldn’t believe it. Elena and Andrew will be tying the knot this July, be sure to come back then to see photos from their amazing Suttons Bay wedding.

Traverse City, MI Family Portrait // Luke, Faye & Bella

I’ve been really bad at posting family portrait sessions on my blog this past year so I am catching up now. I will be posting them in reverse order so that you can remember what Summer was like. That way, you’ll have something to look forward to during these winter months!

Luke, Faye and Bella are a great family with a beautiful home. Bella is just 17 months with lots of energy and she’s one smart cookie! Their dog Keidis is so gentle with her, EVEN when we put a dog treat in Bella’s pocket.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Zach and Amy came from the warm climate of Southwest to Traverse City, Amy’s hometown, to get married. It was a special celebration with only their close friends and family sharing in this wonderful moment. Well folks, this is the last wedding of the 2011 Summer season, what I like to call “The Regular Season”. It’s hard to believe that another year has passed, but it was truly an honor to be a part of twenty nine couples lives this summer.

Ever since I met Aaron & Sarah at Tim & Laura’s wedding last year, I’ve been excited to photograph their wedding. These two have so much love and joy in their relationship, they’re the kind of people that make your face hurt from smiling so much. I’m so happy that I got to know this family through the marriage of Tim & Laura and Aaron & Sarah. I could go on and on about how awesome this family is, but to sum it up, they’re just great. This wedding was definitely a great way for me to end the regular season. Congrats to the happy couple and may God bless your marriage.
