Where do I begin with the 2011 wedding season. What an amazing season we spent with incredible people. Below I have selected one photograph from each wedding that I personally LOVE! It was hard enough for me to choose one photography from each wedding so I am leaving it up to you, friends and family to vote for the wedding. I’ve been really bad at posting family portrait sessions on my blog this past year so I am catching up now. I will be posting them in reverse order so that you can remember what Summer was like. That way, you’ll have something to look forward to during these winter months!

Luke, Faye and Bella are a great family with a beautiful home. Bella is just 17 months with lots of energy and she’s one smart cookie! Their dog Keidis is so gentle with her, EVEN when we put a dog treat in Bella’s pocket.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Zach and Amy came from the warm climate of Southwest to Traverse City, Amy’s hometown, to get married. It was a special celebration with only their close friends and family sharing in this wonderful moment. Zach and Amy are some of the kindest people I’ve met and they’re perfectly suited for each other. Congrats to the beautiful couple and may God bless your marriage.

Well folks, this is the last wedding of the 2011 Summer season, what I like to call “The Regular Season”. It’s hard to believe that another year has passed, but it was truly an honor to be a part of twenty nine couples lives this summer.

Ever since I met Aaron & Sarah at Tim & Laura’s wedding last year, I’ve been excited to photograph their wedding. These two have so much love and joy in their relationship, they’re the kind of people that make your face hurt from smiling so much. I’m so happy that I got to know this family through the marriage of Tim & Laura and Aaron & Sarah. I could go on and on about how awesome this family is, but to sum it up, they’re just great. This wedding was definitely a great way for me to end the regular season. Congrats to the happy couple and may God bless your marriage.

These two are pretty awesome for many reasons, 1.) they are a fun couple 2.) they both are involved with creative arts and 3.) they aren’t afraid to show their love for each other! It was a blast to hanging out with Daniel & Caroline and they were troopers in the cold weather!

A proposal was in the works when I first met with Chris & Courtney a few months back. For their engagement session in Traverse City, they were officially engaged! It was a great seeing theses two again and their wedding next August is going to ROCK!

Brandon & Kelli got married last weekend at the Frog Pong Village in Traverse City. I called Kelli a few days before the wedding to confirm a few details, when she answered the phone she asked me, “Are you ready for a party Dan!” This question got me excited, but also felt that it served as a warning to be prepared for a crazy night. It was a fun party and their friends and family made it a great night for everyone. Congrats Brandon and Kelli, may God bless your marriage!

Nate & Shawna are another lovely couple from Chicago that made their way to Traverse City from their engagement session. It was a great night with a beautiful couple, amazing light and Shawna rocked those high heels in the orchards, corn and hay fields. Oh the things I put my clients through. Can’t wait to see these two again next June!
