Morgan + Evan met in high school where they were left unexpectedly on their first date by their two best friends. “We ended up having the best first date EVER, had a John Hughes movie-level first summer together, and have been together ever since.” And just like that… they entered a four-year journey of long distance with one another, being one of the truest tests their relationship has gone through. “Distance makes the heart grow fonder, and the months apart followed by numerous MegaBus, Amtrak, plane, and car rides only made our time spent together more special. From the very beginning, we made a commitment to each other and never wavered, and in an instant we’d make a spontaneous decision to pack up our things and go see each other. I’d do it all over again if I had to.” Eventually, they made it through and found their way back to each other again to start building a life together on common ground. Feeling cooped up in the apartment for almost a year, Morgan + Evan took a little adventure. “We planned a road trip to Vermont… We stayed in a cozy cabin, went on snowy hikes, visited the most picturesque New England towns, and ate lots of maple syrup! A few days into the trip, we were coming back to the Airbnb after a day of activities when Evan proposed in the kitchen of the cabin. It was just the two of us and it was perfect. We kept it a secret for the rest of our trip and stopped by to share the exciting news with Evan’s family on the way home. Then when we got back to Chicago we told all of our extended family and friends.” For Morgan, it was always clear that Evan was the one for her. “Through all of life’s trials and tribulations he has always been my constant and something I never doubted. We have gone through almost a decade of our life together and I couldn’t imagine going through the next however many decades of my life without him. He is my missing puzzle piece, my best friend and my adventure partner in life.”
