Jackie + Matthew met via eHarmony in the fall of 2015. “Matt had been on the platform for a while, while I was a fairly a new user of the website. Matt connected with me, and after some communication on the site, we agreed to meet on November 5th in Birmingham, Michigan. We were meeting for drinks, but that turned into a 3 hour dinner date, which turned into forever!”
Jackie + Matthew have a natural, fun ease about them, and they certainly complement each other. “Matt and I got engaged on September 21st, 2019 on the Detroit Riverfront. Matt had gotten sick on my birthday in August, and he wanted to make it up to me. I told him that I wanted to have a day date in Detroit, and I just wanted to know what to wear. He made plans for us to go to Detroit Beer Company and go for a walk along the river. He told me to keep it casual for clothes, so with Lakefront Brewery (Thanks Milwaukee) tee and ripped jeans on, we went! After lunch and watching Mark Dantonio become the winningest coach in MSU History, we took a walk along the river. It was also the warmest September day, and we kept walking. I asked if we can go sit under some umbrellas, but Matt had a location in mind. It was this persistence that made me realize what was happening. We sat on a bench at the foot of the Renaissance Center, and he asked me to be his wife. I was floored, felt like I left my body, and immediately said Yes!”
