“I know that Jack was different from any other guy I’ve dated. He didn’t play hard to get, and he made an effort to always make time for me.”
Chelsea + Jack met through mutual friends. “I was living with a married couple, and the guy went to high school with Jack!” As Chelsea + Jack began to get to know each other, it wasn’t long before they recognized that this was something different, something special. “I came to visit Chelsea after we’d been talking and hanging out for about a month or so. She had dinner prepared for me and a couple friends. It was the first time someone had tried to go above and beyond to impress me by cooking.”
Whether watching Michigan State basketball together or sending each other Instagram reels of dogs, Chelsea + Jack simply enjoy each other. So it was only a matter of time before Jack would pop the question.
“Jack and I brought our friend, Cole, to Traverse City and decided to take him hiking to Pyramid Point . I was texting Jack’s mom on the way, sending her photos of a flock of sandhill cranes we saw on our way. When we parked and got out, I thought it was weird Cole brought a backpack because the hike isn’t that long/hard! Anyway, we got to the beautiful view, and I always take photos so I told them to get together and smile. Then Cole said he’d take one of us, and Jack insisted on taking my La Croix away so it wasn’t in the picture. I was kind of fighting him on that. As I turned around after putting my sparkling water away, Jack suddenly got down on one knee and popped the question! I was in such shock that I said, ‘What, no! What is this?!’ Cole had champagne in his backpack that he surprised us with.”
