Not many couples can say that they met on a “girls’ weekend.” But that’s exactly where Allie & Russ’ story begins. “We met when I came down to Key West with my mom to visit Russ’ mom for a girls’ weekend. We hit it off on the first night, and we’ve pretty much been inseparable ever since.”
And inseparable is right. Since that first meeting, Allie & Russ’ favorite memories have been shared together. “We love going to concerts together. We’ve been to tons of different shows together and traveled all over to see our favorite bands. We love meeting friends at the shows, camping at festivals, and listening to great music. We’ve been all over to see shows – Colorado, Vegas, Wisconsin, Chicago, New York, and even Mexico. Dancing in the sand on the beach or in the middle of the forest underneath the stars to some our favorite music is definitely our thing.”
So when Russ asked Allie to marry him in a tiny bar in Key West, it was an easy yes. “Russ asked me in Key West at the Chart Room – a tiny bar that we both love going to when we’re down there. We had just flown down that day, and we were hanging around waiting for our friends to get in. We watched the sunset celebration at Mallory Square (which if you haven’t done it, you definitely should). Then we went to grab a drink at the Chart Room. It was a complete surprise to me, and I actually thought he was joking when he got down on one knee and had the ring in his hand. He had already asked my dad for permission before we even left Michigan!”
Allie & Russ, your love is so fun. And so true. Congratulations!
