Hannah + Brad’s relationship started off initially as a friendship. “We worked together during the summer of 2017. I (Hannah) got an internship at a company that Brad worked at. We ended up working a lot of the events together and became close friends, but after only a couple of months of friendship we both realized we may have something more special.”
Their relationship quickly progressed into something much more. Hannah shared with us when she knew Brad was the one she would marry. “The relationship between Brad and I was always special, but the moment that I knew he was definitely the one was when he met my niece and nephews for the first time. Brad is an only child and while he has a lot of cousins, they are all around the same age, so he really didn’t have a lot of experience with kids. I remember warning him that it was going to be a lot… He was a natural though. So much so that after just one time of meeting him, all of my nephews would ask “Where’s Brad?!” if I came over and he wasn’t with me.” Brad remembers the effort that Hannah put into their relationship when they were long distance. “Knowing how much effort Hannah was putting into this while she was simultaneously enjoying her senior year of college made me (happily) realize that this was not just a summer fling. So, there isn’t really a defining moment I knew we were meant for each other, but I knew early on that I loved her and that together we were stronger.”
Brad proposed to Hannah in a way that was uniquely special to her. “On August 4, Brad had told me we were going to dinner with our friends, so we both got ready and by some miracle, I was ready early for once… he asked me if I wanted to go petoskey stone hunting for a few minutes before we had to leave. Obviously, I said yes! During the summer, I walk for hours rock hunting. We walked for about 20 minutes and as we got back to my parent’s dock and I was about to head up the stairs, he stopped me and got down on one knee.”
