Brown Bridge Quiet Area Engagement | Lauren + Jonah

Lauren & Jonah have been together for over seven years. “We met during our sophomore year of high school. I made eye contact with Jonah on the second day of classes and immediately got butterflies. Throughout the school year, we slowly became friends and then evolved into more.”

It was during their senior year of high school, however, that things started to get more serious. “There wasn’t just one moment I knew we were meant to be together. It has been all of the little moments. Senior year in high school is when I started picturing our future together.”

“I knew we were meant for each other senior year of high school. I had decided to go to Michigan State early in the year. Jonah was looking at a couple of different schools. After a few months, he decided to go to Michigan State as well. When Jonah chose Michigan State it felt like he was choosing me and our future together. That’s when I knew we were more than just a high school relationship, and we would be experiencing the changes in life together and keep growing closer together throughout it all.”

From high school to college and beyond, it was only a matter of time before Jonah popped the question, which he did on a recent camping trip in Colorado. “This past August, we hiked to the top of Mt. Yale (a 14,180ft mountain). After five hours of hiking up the mountain and 4,000 feet of elevation gain, Jonah had me turn around for a ‘majestic’ shot of me with the mountains. He surprised me by getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him. I said yes!”

Congrats on your engagement, Lauren & Jonah!
