Meera + Sagar met for the first time at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2009. “We met through mutual friends and saw each other here and there over the next three years. After graduation, we went our separate ways, but reconnected in 2019.”
After reconnecting, it didn’t take long to realize that they had found something very special in each other. “It’s been nothing but love and laughter ever since! I knew we were meant for each other within a month of reconnecting with him. We shared important values, he paid attention to the little details, and overall he made me happy. At one point I realized I couldn’t imagine my life without him. That’s when I knew he was the one.”
For Sagar, that moment came the when he saw Meera. “She molded within my family and friends perfectly and everything felt really natural from the beginning.”
So of course it was only a matter of time before Sagar would pop the question. “I had big plans propose on a vineyard! I know she loves wine and the scenery was irresistible. We originally planned a trip to Napa Valley, and with a change of plans, landed in the beautiful Traverse City. The timing was perfect, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day! I was really nervous, but it turned out just as I imagined!”
