Why Should You Invest in a Professional Photographer?
Your wedding photos will last a lifetime, and there aren’t any re-dos for your special day— that’s why it’s best to invest in a professional. You want your day to be perfect, and so do we. We start by building a relationship and getting to know you. The more comfortable you are with us, the more comfortable you will be in front of the lens.
While we’re documenting your wedding, we’ll also be helping to create an environment that allows you to enjoy one of the biggest events of your life. We’re committed to doing our part to make sure your wedding is everything you hoped it would be. We joke that we’re not just photographers but coordinators, beauty gurus, life coaches, landscapers, bartenders….whatever you need, we got you.

We’re ready to move forward. How do we book?
When should I book my photographer?
Don’t wait until the last minute to hire your photographer. Dates do book up quickly, and the last thing you want to happen is to settle on a photographer based on their availability versus your preference. We recommend contacting a photographer 12-18 months in advance of your wedding or event date.
Can we create a custom package?
Definitely—we can add any product or service to the package of your choice. You can add additional wedding day coverage and products up to 30 days before your event.
When will we receive our images?
Your images will be ready for online viewing 8 weeks from the date of your event.
Do you offer videography?
We do not offer videography services, but we’d be happy to share our preferred vendors list of the videographers we love working with!
Do you “touch-up” our images?
Your photos go through an extensive selection and editing process to ensure a premium product. Durinag this process, your photos are edited for color, white balance, and exposure. We will apply minor touch-ups when necessary; however, if there are major touch-ups, we will discuss the cost required to perform those edits.
What forms of payment do you accept? Is there a payment schedule?
We accept personal checks or eChecks. For weddings we ask for a 50% down payment, 25% at 6 month prior to the event and the final payment is due 30 days prior to the event. For portraits, we ask for a 100% payment at the time of booking. We can create payment schedules on a need to need basis.
How many images will I recieve?
On average, you will receive anywhere from 50-75 images per hour. Our goal is not to simply provide you with the most images, but the best images that capture the raw emotions and candid moments of the day. Each and every image we deliver is an intentionally captured and beautiful moment.
What is your travel fee?
We include 100 miles round-trip in every package. Outside of that, there is a travel fee of $2 per mile with a $75 minimum. If we travel more than 2 hours to your event, there will be an overnight charge of $200 per night.
Can I show you my Pinterest board?
As artists, we take pride in our original, carefully honed styles. We strive to be creative and unique with each couple we photograph. Attempting to recreate images is not our style. Rather, we capture special moments throughout the day that tell your unique story.
Do you offer discounts?
We occasionally offer seasonal promotions. This means that if you’re planning a wedding for November – April, there may be an “out of season” discount. You can always ask to see if we’re running any specials!
Should we do an engagement session?
We personally recommend it. An engagement session is much more than a standard portrait shoot. It’s an opportunity for you to focus on your best friend and to capture this unique and short season of life.
Hugs, kisses, and intimacy can feel awkward in the presence of a stranger. An engagement session allows us the chance to meet and establish a trusted relationship before the wedding day flurry. We consider a personal—instead of a business-only—relationship vital to capturing your candid moments. We’ve found that this first session is a great step in that direction. By the end of the session, we promise that you and your loved one will feel more comfortable with us.

What is the best time of day for our session?
We typically have the sessions in the early morning or closer to sunset. There are many factors we consider before determining a time and we typically schedule a time 1-3 days before the session so that we can have a good idea of light and weather.
Where will our session be?
Northern Michigan has so many great locations for a session. You get to tell us what kind of session backdrop you’re looking for and we scout the session specifically for your session. The options are really endless.
What should I wear?
I always encourage people to consider their environment in which they will be photographed in. This means, if you want to have a session in the woods, don’t where colors that make you blend in with the leaves and trees. I also suggest that you dress to be yourself and not try to be too matchy-matchy.
How many images will we receive and when do we get them?

What is the difference between single, multi and lifestyle collections?
Single family collections are for nuclear or single households. Multi family collections are sessions that will include several nuclear families/households or family reunions. Lifestyle sessions offer a more relaxed shoot where the main idea/goal is to document an activity or event versus taking posted portraits. We treat the single and multi family sessions like this in a way.
