Leland Country Club Wedding | Concy + Raleigh

“A town as beautiful as Leland – situated between lakes Michigan and Leelanau – we had no doubts about where we would be wed”.

Leland was already a special town for Concy & Raleigh before their wedding. “Leland is my absolute favorite place in the world. It’s where my family and oldest friends spend our most quality time, it is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, and it holds so much meaning for Raleigh and me.” Both their reception and their ceremony were held at locations that Concy had dreamed about since she was much younger. And of course, without disappointment they both thought it was absolutely perfect for them.

As their day began, both of them felt nothing but excitement for the day that was to come. Concy was up early the day of getting ready with her bridesmaids and she had no place for nerves. “I was just so excited. I am pretty type A, and I know that some of my bridesmaids were worried that I would be a little worked up, but I was just the opposite. I was so ready to marry Raleigh, and I just wanted to enjoy every second of the day.” As for Raleigh that morning, “I told my groomsmen I already had several days to be nervous, and so the big day was not one of them! I was looking forward to making our vows, and was only worried that the rain that morning might not clear off.”

Their beautiful day was flying by full of laughter and love. Concy had two moment during the day where time seemed to have stopped. “Waiting to walk down the aisle, and then arriving to the tent with Raleigh. Waiting to walk sticks out because it was the only time during the day that I had any nerves. I was so busy and preoccupied leading up to that time, but then I had about 25 minutes to just sit and wait. It was hard! There were 185 people who would, in a few moments, have their eyes just on me. And that made me nervous. But I just kept thinking about how excited I was to see Raleigh and the end of the aisle and that calmed me down a bit. And arriving at the tent sticks out because I was just so elated to officially be married, and then arriving to the location that I had spent the last year planning out, and to see how beautiful it was filled with our nearest and dearest, was incredible.” Raleigh will never forget how as the ceremony had finished, he and his new wife, were showered in petals by their friends and family.

Raleigh could not describe their beautiful day as anything but the “Best. Day. Ever.”
