Beautiful Mission Point Lighthouse Engagement | Allison + Tyson

Allison + Tyler’s engagement session at the stunning Mission Point Lighthouse beautifully captured the love and connection they share. Their bond is evident in every glance, laugh, and moment spent together.

“I don’t know that there was any single moment I knew Ty was the one,” Allison shared. “It was more of a collection of moments. I fell in love with how he makes me laugh, how he makes me feel safe and heard, and the way he builds me up. I knew he was the one when I saw how he loved his two boys — that love only grew.”

Their journey began during the pandemic when Allison moved back to Michigan. “I didn’t know anyone in town, but a friend convinced me to try Hinge,” she recalled. “I found Ty’s profile, was drawn to his humor, love of travel, and his dream of seeing puffins. We started texting and eventually went on socially distanced dates. Our first was a sushi picnic at the Open Space, and we talked for hours while the sun set over the bay.”

As they grew closer, they discovered their shared love for Northern Michigan. “We love exploring together, whether it’s spring wildflower walks, kayaking trips, or fall hikes,” Allison shared. “Ty is always patient with my photo stops, and we both enjoy identifying the flora and fauna along the way.”

When Allison planned a trip to the UP, Tyson saw the perfect opportunity to propose. “I had planned a dream fall color road trip for Traverse Magazine,” she said. “Little did I know, Ty had a surprise up his sleeve. He chose Sugarloaf Mountain for the proposal, and as we watched the sunset, he asked me to keep adventuring with him forever. I said yes, and a woman from a viewing platform even captured the moment!”

Congratulations, Allison + Tyson! Your engagement at Mission Point Lighthouse was truly special, and we can’t wait to capture your wedding day!
