Katy + Devin’s wedding at The Homestead in Glen Arbor was filled with meaning. Katy had many memories of the area, having visited multiple times a year as a child. “This venue was a big deal for us. Katy had wonderful memories of Glen Arbor and specifically The Homestead. When we first visited as a couple, there was an immediate feeling of HOME, comfort, and adventure.”

The venue, set in nature with breathtaking views, made it the perfect place for their celebration. Katy, however, was anxious with some last-minute wedding planning hiccups. “Within the first hour of being awake, Devin and I planned to spend some alone time together and took a walk around Brook Hill and Firefly. As soon as I saw Devin, all my nerves and worries immediately washed away. I was reminded of what the day was truly about – the unconditional love I have for my best friend.”

After their peaceful moment, Katy felt relaxed and comfortable as the morning went on, surrounded by her closest friends and family. When it came time for their first look, Devin was overcome with emotion. “The moment I saw Katy in her dress was huge. I couldn’t stop thinking about a huge tutu on her, but when I saw her, I remembered how amazing her style is. The ceremony was emotional, and I started losing track of time, but when we said our vows, I realized how perfect we are together.”

Despite all the challenges leading up to the wedding, Katy was incredibly grateful for the team that helped bring their fairytale day to life. “From the team at The Homestead to our florist, band, and wedding planner of six days – each person shared in our excitement.”

It was a breathtaking, heartwarming, and exhilarating day. As Devin put it, “A wedding worth crashing.”
