Torch Lake Backyard Wedding | Beth + Max

Beth and Max’s wedding was held at a location that was sentimental to both of them, and it only added to the intimacy and love of their day. “Torch Lake is so special to both Max and Beth and their families as well. They consider this lake as a spiritual, social, and environmental pillar in our lives. Also, Beth’s dad’s property in party mode is second to none! Those Edison bulbs really transformed the space.”

Being in such a familiar location created a lot of ease the morning of their big day. “Beth was calm and ready to do this thing! Her best friend crawled into bed with her that morning at 5:30 before her morning run, and Beth went back to bed. Max’s best friend metaphorically crawled into bed with him, then he swam and relaxed in the late morning with his closest friends.”

There were many moments that stuck out to them from the day, but “for Beth, she remembers the smell of camomile, rose and lavender being showered on her and Max as they recessed. The band playing Power of Two was really special, too. We danced and danced and danced into the evening – even after the rain, and after the band turned in, the dancing was epic. Max with his pocket watch and boots. Apart from that, Beth was blown away by how much love was all around, loved ones connecting, laughing, meeting each other for the first time. It was absolutely magical. For Max, he agrees with the last sentence/sentiment of the above. But also and importantly, how that first look almost took him down! Dancing, and watching his new wife smile. He hadn’t seen her that happy in a long time. He also really liked the short greetings of all their guests as they passed from the dock to the shore.”

When asked to describe their wedding day in three words, they said, “fun, spiritual bonds, happiness” and “safety, connection, and love.” Congratulations, Beth + Max! It was truly an honor to be a part of your special day.
