Loved. Unforgettable. Fun.  A very accurate description of Heather & Kevin’s wedding day if you ask me.

One of the shining features of Northern Michigan is the waters up by Petoskey.  That sapphire blue is so magnificent, one would think they’re on the Caribbean, sipping on a margarita and watching the dolphins.  Heather & Kevin may not have been dolphin watching, but they were doing something even more exciting… getting married!  “Heather grew up on Lake Michigan, so having our wedding on the water was always a dream of hers. The first time we visited the Inn at Bay Harbor, we were incredibly mesmerized by the color of the lake and beautiful landscape. We also love to travel, so getting married in northern Michigan felt like a “destination” wedding without having to leave our home state!”

After months and months of planning, their big day had finally arrived.  “I felt eager in the morning. We both had been working non-stop for the wedding since we planned/made everything ourselves, so I was eager to see it all come together. I was also excited to see Kevin as my groom! While getting ready, I was able to sit back and relax (for the first time in months!) and just enjoy that I’d be marrying my best friend soon.”  Kevin remembers that, “I had a calm confidence throughout the morning leading up to the ceremony knowing that soon I would get to marry the woman that I love.”  That moment came fast.  Before they knew it, they were standing at the altar, in front of their friends and family, confirming one of the biggest decisions of their lives. “I was surprisingly overcome with emotion during our vows – I could not hold back my tears (which I’m usually good at)! We had a First Look beforehand that was all laughs and smiles, so I expected to feel the same way at the ceremony. However, when I heard Kevin saying his vows to me, in front of everybody that we love, it meant so much more than I ever imagined!”

Heather & Kevin, it was a blessing to watch you and your families celebrate together as the two of you became one.  Thank you for letting me be a part of it, and congratulations!
