Crooked Creek Ranch Wedding | Chris + Drew

“Other than our love for each other, our wedding celebration was focused around two things: family & our love of nature. Crooked creek ranch is in Chris’ family– she grew up going there for family holidays, to ride horses and pick cherries with her uncles & was even chased by a bull there as a young kid! Also, both of Chris’ sisters were married there, so it’s basically a family tradition. We both think Crooked Creek Ranch perfectly displays the natural beauty of the area & wanted to share it with our guests (many of which had never been to Northern Michigan).”

What a beautiful day it was out in Cedar; a day focused around what Chris and Drew love and cherish. But the night before the big day, neither Chris or Drew slept hardly at all. “Not nervousness – I just felt incredibly connected to Chris, as well as our love for God and Nature. I used the morning to give thanks to family and friends by writing notes, and spending some time in the bible. I listened to George Strait for a while and felt an overwhelming love for Chris and our eternal lives together and while we are on this earth – wanting to share with her the experiences of raising a family together.” And for Chris, it was all excitement, “…sheer excitement. When I woke up, that didn’t stop– the adrenaline was just rushing in anticipation of an amazing (& thankfully sunny!) day of celebration.”

After all the preparation was finished, it was finally time for Chris and Drew to see each other and exchange a few pre-ceremony kisses! “…my most fond memory was the first look, the sheer emotion and depth of love I felt for Christine made me think “how can marriage be hard?” just a hug, some brief tears and a kiss. It was a true representation of undying love for one another and endurance. Chris looked absolutely stunning and purely beautiful (inside and out)”.

The rest of the day was filled with a heart-warming ceremony, performed by Chris and Drew’s pastor from Texas.”…his words during the ceremony. He was there from the start of our relationship & it was pretty amazing he could be there to marry us!”

The presence of loved ones, and one awesome dance party in the barn finished off an awesome day that the couple would describe as “Northern Michigan Perfection” filled with “God, family, and nature”

Congratulations Chris and Drew! What a joy it was to share in the celebration of your marriage! May God bless the both of you.
