Natalie & Donnie’s wedding could not have been a better representation of their love story. Every location, every detail had a significant and special meaning, and I can’t think of a better way for Natalie & Donnie to begin their marriage. “Elk Rapids is our hometown, and we couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The ceremony took place at Donnie’s parent’s home on Elk Lake, a place we’ve spent countless hours together over the past nine years. The reception was at a rental home Donnie’s family owns in downtown Elk Rapids, overlooking Grand Traverse Bay and Memorial Park. Using venues we owned allowed us to really personalize the venues and add little details that made it the perfect wedding for us. It was also great to make wedding memories in places that were already special to us and our families.”

“We’ve been together since we were 16, so this day had been a long time coming, and we were both really excited it was finally here.” And Natalie & Donnie weren’t the only ones who were excited that this day had arrived. Sisters, brothers, parents, friends. The love that Natalie & Donnie’s wedding guests had for them was simply moving. The heartfelt speeches. Those quiet moments that said so much through just a simple look. A special performance.

“Our brother’s sang ‘You Make My Dreams’ during the dinner. For our first date we saw 500 Days of Summer, and the scene where they sing and dance to ‘You Make My Dreams’ was the best part in an otherwise awful first date movie. It became a special song for us, so it was really special to see our brother’s perform it for us.”
