The Homestead Resort Wedding | Elle + Luke | By Luke

Weddings can be an overwhelming thing to approach. No matter how much planning and preparation you do, you’re never fully ready until the sun comes up and everything begins.

When we asked Elle how she felt at the start of her big day, she said, “I felt pretty calm for most of the morning and just really wanted to soak up the day and enjoy the time I had with my bridesmaids and close family. It wasn’t until I was about halfway up the chairlift with my dad that I began to feel the adrenaline building up realizing that everyone’s eyes were about to be on me. Once I was finally standing with Luke by my side again during the ceremony, I felt calm and so blessed to have been given such a beautiful day in my life. The entire day was truly magical from start to finish.” It’s truly the best thing when two people find that one special other who they want to spend the rest of their lives with. Being by that person’s side is the ultimate deterrent to anything scary or daunting. “I was overwhelmed with the number of people who were there because I felt like there was a lot of pressure on Elle and me. But I remember feeling so confident in my decision to marry Elle, and that made me feel better about everything else I was nervous about.” said Luke.

Elle & Luke, I am beyond thrilled that the two of you found each other and I couldn’t agree more when you say that you remember your wedding day as “Honest, Heartwarming, and Beautiful”
