The Homestead Resort Wedding | Karey + Andrew

Wedding day jitters aren’t unusual and Karey + Andrew weren’t immune. After all the hours of planning, the painstaking decision making, choosing the venue, the decorations, the food and music, the day had finally arrived. “I must have done a good job hiding it, but my heart was pounding out of my chest up until I saw Karey at the first look. I was ready to go, but very nervous.”

Karey – “I was also very nervous and shaky in the morning. But once the hair and make-up began and all my bridesmaids arrived, my jitters disappeared and the time until the first look FLEW by!! I cried (happy tears) at like five different times that morning in anticipation of the whole day.”

There’s nothing like being surrounded by friends and for Karey, having her bridesmaids supporting her made her feel much more relaxed. The comfortable matching lounge-wear had the girls laughing and joking and ready to help the bride prepare for the big event.

For Andrew, having his buddies there to make him laugh, cheering on U of M, and sharing a few swigs straight from the bottle, got him ready to tie the knot.

For most couples, certain events really stick out in their minds when they think back over the entire day. The “First Look” serves to center the couple, having a few minutes for just the two of them, reassures them both that they are truly blessed to be together and for Karey + Andrew, the first look was one of their special moments. They were ready to go!

The ceremony evoked emotions all over the board. There were tears, there was laughter and Karey + Andrew felt an enormous amount of love from their guests and each other. The dancing was also a highlight, especially for Karey when she danced with her father.

The stunning northern Michigan venue, overlooking Lake Michigan was the perfect place for Karey + Andrew to bring so many friends and family together to celebrate their love. It was joyful and emotional and made Karey + Andrew feel extremely blessed. Absolutely perfect! Congratulations Karey + Andrew, may God bless your marriage.
