Homestead Resort Wedding | KayLee + Michael

KayLee and Michael’s wedding was a day filled with laughter, love, and a torrential downpour. “We knew rain was forecasted for the day of our wedding. We had prayed all week for things to clear up for just 15 minutes so we could have our outdoor ceremony! We woke up to beautiful, blue skies and sunshine but of course by the afternoon, storm clouds started to roll in. I remember sitting in the makeup chair staring at all the dark clouds and watching the downpour of rain, knowing I had to accept the fact that I wouldn’t have my outdoor wedding. It was about 45 minutes before the ceremony was going to start, I was about to get in my dress and all of a sudden the rain stopped! Michael had made the last minute call for chairs to be set up outside… our prayers had been answered!!!”

The rain certainly didn’t dampen their love for each other or the excitement to spend the day with their families. Michael’s most emotional moments of the day were, “When I first saw my kids while getting ready. I was so grateful they were part of our big day!” and “When I first saw KayLee walking down the aisle. I didn’t know she could get more beautiful than she already was!” KayLee reminisced about how, “Having my step kids be part of our big day really tugged at my heart strings. They were so excited to share such a special moment with us… and we wouldn’t have had it any other way!” and “THE MOTHER-SON DANCE!!! I can’t even explain why I was so emotional for that. So much happiness and calmness… the song meant so much… once Michael started to cry, I absolutely lost it. His mom had told me so many times before how grateful she was knowing Michael found someone to truly love and take care of him.”

They both described their wedding as “a dream come true.” Congratulations, KayLee and Michael! We were thrilled to be a part of your rainy, magical day.
