Leelanau School Wedding | Lauren + Dan

by | Sep 7, 2021

Lauren + Dan only had to look at one place for their wedding location; Leelanau School. They quickly fell in love with the wooded setting on the shores of Lake Michigan and appreciated that the rental fees supported the scholarship fund of the school. The fun was kept alive all week long with bonfires, beach lounging, hammock-ing, canoeing and tubing. “We were both excited that this long awaited day had finally arrived. Our early morning plunge into Lake Michigan on the wedding day provided a quiet moment together and helped to ground us in the moment.” This special couple tied their passion for wildlife conservation into their wedding day which made it all the more impactful. One of the more emotional and unique moments from their wedding was the first look at Teichner Preserve. “The Tiechner Preserve was already close to our hearts. We had discovered it a year earlier and we were captivated by the wildlife and fauna on the shores of Lime Lake. The conservation of wildlife and nature is close to our hearts as our favorite activities are to hike and to enjoy spotting animals. So when it came to our wedding registry we knew we wanted to support conservation and asked that all gifts be given to the Leelanau Conservancy to protect the Teicher Preserve.”

Thank you Lauren + Dan for sharing your passion and congratulations!
