The Homestead Resort Wedding | Rachel + Evan | By Anna

by | Jan 20, 2021

“We’ve been together for over ten years, so that’s a lot of buildup!”

Rachel + Evan’s wedding was a special one. Long awaited, it was the celebration of two people whose love for each other- and the love shared by their family and friends- was palpable. And what a joy it was to witness it all!

Like many 2020 couples, Rachel + Evan’s wedding plans changed and morphed as the season went on. “The Homestead was not our initial plan, but we’re so thankful we ended up there. The fact that we could all stay there safely together was so special during this time as most of us hadn’t done anything in the last six months. Evan and I love the water, the woods and love snowboarding- Homestead had every look in one.”

The perfect venue. The perfect company. Rachel + Evan’s wedding truly had it all. “Our ceremony was filled with personal touches: A groomsmen composed a song on piano just for us, the petoskey stone ring pillows, the ‘brief’ history of us on a slideshow, our parents presenting letters for our one-year anniversary, tying the knot, and our hand-written vows, walking down the aisle to piano nerddom of Zelda’s Lullaby and together back with Concerning Hobbits…” It was them. And it was perfect.

Rachel + Evan, it was a privilege to be a part of your wedding. Congratulations!
