A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort Wedding | Nicole + Jesse

12/23/2019

When you imagine your wedding day, you unfold the day in your mind. Who you’re going to be with, what the venue will look like all decorated, the songs that you’ll listen and dance to and how the sun that will be shinning, providing the perfect atmosphere for your wedding. Not too many people think or want it to rain on their wedding day. If it does rain, it means all of your plans have to change and you move to your “plan B”. Despite the rain on Nicole + Jesse’s wedding day, it was the happiest they’ve ever been.

Just north of Elk Rapids, Nicole + Jesse choose A Ga Ming Golf Resort to host the most important day of their lives. “We knew we wanted to have the wedding outside, even though we did know it was Michigan and the weather can be unpredictable. A Ga Ming has beautiful rolling hills, green grass, abundant trees, and an absolutely stunning view of Torch Lake that we knew would make our wedding day even more magical.”

As the rain continued to throughout the morning, Nicole + Jesse prepared with their friends and family for the moments to come. Jesse was a little anxious. “I was hoping that the intense rain would stop. But the whole morning I was very anxious to not only see her but also see her in her wedding gown. The anxiety didn’t come from fear, it was the excitement and surety that I was ready to marry her.” While Nicole seemed to stay calm. “All morning I was pretty calm. My bridesmaids helped a lot with my nerves. But as soon as I put my dress on, the butterflies and excitement started to build rapidly. I was so ready to see him and start the rest of our lives together.”

As the two finished final preparations, both would say that seeing each other for their first look was one of the more emotional and special events during the day. “I would say seeing Nicole for the first time during our first look was very emotional for me because I knew the next time I saw her she would become my wife. And then when she walked down the aisle, I had tears in my eyes because of how beautiful she was and how beautiful the moment was. Everything was better then I could’ve ever imagined.”

For Nicole, “The first look was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. I remember waiting at the door for Jesse to walk to the porch, and I could barely see him in the reflection of the door’s glass window and immediately started crying out of happiness. Seeing him for the first time was such an overwhelming experience of love that I’ll never forget. I immediately burst out crying and couldn’t help but hold Jesse as tight as I could in my arms.”

At this point, the rain and wind was still showing its power and might. Which meant an indoor ceremony where the reception was held. Though the scene change, the impact of the moments during the ceremony, did not. “There was the nervousness that I would mess up saying my vows, but just the overall amazement and heartwarming feeling of Nicole’s father giving her to me was very emotional.”

With tears coming from every corner of the room, Nicole + Jesse professed their love for one another, tears and all. “The whole ceremony I was also crying, and the feeling of walking down the aisle, like it was only Jesse and I in the room, was magical. His expression was pure love. As soon as we were married and walked back up the aisle, we stopped and held and kissed each other, in amazed disbelief that we were finally husband and wife. I will always treasure that moment.”

The day unfolded into more laughs and tears as the couple were embraced by the words of Nicole father, the best man and the maid of honor. A dance floor with lots of action and dessert that ended up on each others faces. And a sparkler send off at the conclusion to the night. Jesse whisked Nicole off her feet and they disappeared into the darkness as their guests cheered them on in excitement. For these two, the night was “fulfilling, beautiful, unforgettable”, “emotional, heartfelt, and perfect.”

Congratulations Nicole + Jesse and may God bless your marriage.
