Fountain Point Resort Wedding | Meghan + Rob

11/27/2019

“The baraat! It was a mess – a finicky horse, smoke bombs, guests who didn’t know what was going on – but it was our mess and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.”

For Meghan + Rob, it was all about family and community. From choosing Fountain Point Resort so guests could stay together and play together and get to know each other for an entire weekend, to telling stories and sharing memories, to shedding tears of joy, the love was felt by all who attended. Meghan wanted to share some tradition, too, so she surprised Rob with the baraat! Although the horse wasn’t too crazy about the idea, it turned out just fine and was so worth it.

The highlights of the day included the love songs at dinner, the ceremony, the vows, the speeches and the dancing. “We were on the dance floor from start to finish – it is always our favorite part of weddings and there was nothing more fun than constantly turning around on the dance floor to see someone new you love to dance with. “

“Our friend Andrew, officiated (his first time) and absolutely crushed it. We loved his words and the fact that it was someone we cared about standing up with us in front of our people.”

“We chose to write and share our own vows in front of our family and friends – we felt it was the best way to bring intimacy to our ceremony for our guests and make it the most meaningful for us. We were nervous to write our vows and left them until the very last minute, but we both love and cherish each others’ vows and are so glad we chose to go this route.”

“We thought each speech was better than the next and John (the father of the bride) gave a phenomenal speech to cap it off. All three of these people are incredibly important to us and hearing their kind words was so meaningful.”

When you have the perfect combination of venue and guests, decorated so that every little detail comes together to make everyone feel they were part of something very special, you have Meghan + Rob’s wedding celebration. A day that will be remembered as “Community, positive and energetic.” Congrats and may God bless your marriage.
