Aurora Cellars Wedding | Rose + Joey

03/19/2018

“When he turned to look at me I felt encapsulated in the love radiating from his eyes.”

As Rose + Joey wanted their wedding to be in an intimate location and preferred a winery outside of town, Aurora Cellars had the old world charm that they had wanted and it was located in the perfect town, surrounded by vineyards. Aurora could not have been more perfect for them!

“The morning of was more relaxing than previous days. Not sure if it was a calm for what was about to happen or a calm amidst the chaos of wedding planning a destination wedding for the prior four months. We were nervous about the impending rain and wind, but we were both very excited to get married and we were looking forward to getting over the wedding planning hump with as little resistance as possible.” said Joey as he looked back on the morning of his wedding day. As people kept asking Rose that morning if she was nervous her constant reply was, “only about the rain.” While the rain came, that did not stop Rose and Joey from continuing their ceremony outside. It made the day just that much more intimate and special.

As the couple looks back on their day, Rose and Joey remember the ceremony being such a special moment, “seeing Molly walk down the aisle, and then seeing Rose walk down the aisle. In a flash, all the worries about the wedding were gone as we were in the moment. I felt a sense of relief, accomplishment, pride, and love all at once.” Rose remembers the ceremony exactly how it was, “In the midst of making the excruciating decision of moving the ceremony and/or cocktail hour indoors due to the rain, we heard our prelude music begin; I recall locking eyes with Joey and both of us pausing in that moment realizing our wedding had begun and the rain became irrelevant. The ceremony was the most monumental moment of my life; I’ll never forget the sincerity in Joey’s face and how I was so present in the moment that the rain didn’t even phase me.

Both Rose and Joey wrote letters to one another to open before the ceremony. Joey had wrote three for Rose: one from him, one from their 14 year old pup and one from their cats. Reading these cards were very emotional for the both of them, “My eyes filled with tears as I read the letters from him.”

As Joey describes their wedding day as “Happily Ever After”, we wish you exactly that.

Congratulations on your marriage, Rose and Joey! May God bless you.
