Fountain Point Resort Wedding | Sarah + Carlos

01/12/2018

“So much love!”

“I was looking for something low key, outdoors and not too fancy. The Fountain Point far exceeded all of my expectations.” Sarah and Carlos wanted to have a venue that made it so all of their guest could spend the weekend with them. When these two went and saw Fountain Point in 2016, they knew it was the perfect spot. The cottages have a gorgeous view of Lake Leelanau, and the grounds were absolutely stunning. Everything this couple could have asked for.

As the morning began, the sun was shining bright and Sarah was up before anyone. “I think I was one of the first people up that morning and walking across the lawn, knowing that everyone I love was already there in their cabins made me so very happy.” She walked her dress over to the room where her and the bridesmaids would be getting ready later and then made her way to Carlos to wake him up. It was important that they saw each other the morning of so they could have some time to be together, just the two of them before the craziness of the day had begun. Both of them weren’t as nervous as they were excited.

As the day was under way, the excitement and love continued to flood through everyone. At the beginning of the ceremony, “Carlos’s dad started the by speaking about Ethan. I know Carlos was missing him so much that day and it was nice to have a formal moment to talk about how special Ethan was.” said Sarah.

With their family and friends all gathered together, both of their families continued to bring moments to the table that were so special. “Carlos’s family’s music performance was a huge highlight for us. All of their songs were so fun and thoughtful but Carlos’s dad singing the Man in Me at the end was so beautiful.” and “All of the toasts were really beautiful. I wouldn’t say I had doubt in my family, but I was really blown away by how thoughtful, kind and touching all of the toasts were.”

During the reception, Sarah and Carlos got nerves for the first time. “Carlos was pretty nervous about the first dance, rightfully so, we are terrible dancers. While I wouldn’t say we did a good job, the band sounded so great and it was really nice to have a couple of minutes to just be close to Carlos and talk just the two of us.”

As said first, there are no three words that could describe their wedding better than “So much love!”

Congratulations on your marriage! May God bless you both.
