Epicure Catering & Cherry Basket Farm Wedding | Erin + Jason

It didn’t take long for Erin and Jason to decide on Cherry Basket Farm for the location of their big celebration. Between the endless beauty, cozy feel, and caring staff, they knew right away. “We loved the Cherry Basket Farm immediately. The location and scenery were so picturesque, and what better way to host friends and family in Traverse City than on a cherry farm? Their process for working with us to plan the perfect reception and delicious fresh dinner was exactly what we were looking for. ”

Erin spent the morning getting ready at her parents house, with Jason just down the lake getting ready with the guys. “I loved getting ready at my parent’s house. I remember thinking ‘I wish Jason was here hanging out too’ because it was the best version of starting a day with all my favorite people around. The morning started slow and calm, then in a rush, all at once, it was time. I remember getting butterflies as someone called out “The boys are on the boat! They are almost here!”. I ran upstairs to peek out the window to watch them walk off the dock, then it was time to get my dress on. I had that giddy high school feeling like I was getting ready for a big date with my crush. I just couldn’t wait for it to start.”

As the boat arrived with the boys, Erin and her girls completed the finishing touches – getting Erin all ready to see her Jason. The first look was a beautiful beginning to the soon to be newlywed’s day. Right on the lake, in the backyard of their family’s home, it held so much meaning. ” I loved the first look. Even though we had only been apart for the night and morning, it was like we were finally back together.”

As the day progressed, it only got better. “Most of the day is a big happy blur. I really loved our ceremony, the words of advice from the priest really stuck with me. And even though I’d heard the vows said so many times before, actually saying them to my person gave me this feeling like we just did the most significant thing of our lives.”

The most meaningful and personal day continued out to Omena, where Erin and Jason celebrated with their friends and family for the rest of the night! Perfect weather, heart-felt speeches, loved ones, and a rockin’ dance floor made for one epic night for Mr. and Mrs. Reese! “I loved the speeches from my Dad, sister, and brother in law. It was humbling to sit in front of our friends and family and have such beautiful, funny, and happy words said on our behalf.”

Erin and Jason, what an absolute honor and joy it was to be a part of your fun-filled day! May God bless your marriage. Congratulations!
