“I kissed Jim goodbye in the morning as he brought me coffee and ensured I had everything I needed. Time flew by that morning, but I was careful to make sure I took in each moment getting ready with my sister, mother, nieces, mother in law, and one of my closest fiends. We played Jim and my favorite music and everyone shared their favorite memories of us. It was truly an amazing morning, but I couldn’t wait to see Jim again.”

Black Star Farms provided the perfect backdrop for Courtney & James’ beautiful wedding day. “We are definitely Traverse City fans, and Black Star Farms has always been our favorite winery to visit together. It was actually the first winery we had ever visited. From the farm to the views in the vines, we knew our friends and family would enjoy the venue as much as we do.” From the inquisitive farm animals and bold red inn to the autumn tones hanging in the distance, Northern Michigan was certainly showing off the morning of Courtney & Jim’s wedding.

From those initial preparations to an excited first look and on to photos around the Black Star grounds, Courtney & Jim were ready for a day of celebration. Just watching them enjoy each other’s company as the ceremony drew nearer, it was increasingly evident that these two had found something very true and special in each other. And that’s a beautiful thing to witness.

From vows to congratulatory hugs to hand crafted cocktails, the day only gained momentum. Soon, Courtney & Jim found themselves in the barn- surrounded by their excited wedding guests- eagerly anticipating a night to remember. And boy, was it one to remember! Courtney & Jim and all of their wedding guests certainly know how to have a good time!
