Old Mission Peninsula Wedding | Sarah + Cory | By Luke

Planning a wedding in January in Northern Michigan, you have to be prepared for the weather to not be in your favor. Often it’s gray, overcast, and windy but for Sarah & Cory’s wedding it was nothing like that. In fact it was sunny! Sunny, and a relatively windless day which if you’re a local, you know that’s a northern Michigan miracle.

With the weather cooperating so wonderfully, Sarah & Cory were able to relax on the morning of their big day. “We both woke up feeling really excited and actually relatively calm. I got a text from two of the groomsman’s wives, who were with Cory, saying that he was so excited and smiling ear to ear all morning! We both agree that the nerves set in right before I walked down the aisle.”

Guests rolled up to St. Joe’s Church with sunglasses and smiles on their faces as they made their way inside to witness Sarah & Cory’s marriage.

The rest of the day clicked along without a hitch, and as difficult as planning a wedding during COVID times can be, it can also bring along its own set of blessings as Sarah recalls, “I am so grateful for how intimate our wedding day was. With all the COVID restrictions our wedding day looked nothing like what we had originally planned, and for that I actually feel really blessed!”

Congratulations Sarah & Cory!
